thank you for the help. im hanging onto my house by a thread and cannot afford to hire a plumber so need to do the kitchen faucet on my own. being a female who was taught how to cook and sew with no skills in home repair is a challenge. i knew i needed one of these wrenches but had no clue as to how in the heck to use it. again thanks, oh wish me luck.

When I was in high school in the 60’s, girls were forced to take Home Ec & boys forced to take Shop. I’d always wished I’d been able to take Shop. And now in retrospect, it would have come in a lot more handy than Home Ec ever did.
well the home ec and my mom taught me how to cook and i do that pretty well. its just to one’s advantage to be multi talented. my husband was like that. he was a jack of all trades ..he was even a good cook too. pretty well rounded. but yes i know what you mean. its nice to know stuff especially when it means you do not have to count on someone else to do the job for you.
i only use the square Rigid basin wrench, so you can easily grip it with pliers if need be. Cheap tools are a bad idea
