Check out the vote percentages. It was the Dems that jumped on board. Bush was sick about it–especially since he warned them back in 2002, but the Dems convinced people he was dumb. Bush doesn’t get to write legislation. 8 years of a Dem Senate majority & the last two with a House majority as well. Look guys, taxing rich people is actually taxing the middle clases. Why? Because whenever a company gets higher taxes then the first thing they do is increase the prices of whatever goods or service they provide (so we all en up paying) and then they must cut expenses. How they cut expenses? By firing the least needed workers. So increasing taxes on the rich in a RECESSION actually creates more UNEMPLOYMENT and higher prices. Good Video.

If a company has to raise it prices because of higher taxes(hold on i cant stop laughing)why is it that when they move everything offshore and hide their companies profits in the caymen islands we dont see decreased prices.
uh…because competitors still based in the US can’t lower their prices, so the company based offshore doesn’t have to either. they keep their prices the same to record higher profit margins, because competitors can’t undercut them.

The truth is, the “rich” Americans aka businessmen will just laugh at these pronouncements because the very first day they will pay 39.6% in taxes, they will just add it to the prices of whatever merchandise or services they are selling. Joe the Plumber generated interest for about two weeks, and that was it. McCain is/was certainly qualified to have been elected the president of this country. The McCain campaign suffered because of two things: initially because there was no clear message being delivered until about a month before the election ended and his VP selection. I’m not bashing Sarah Palin. She helped solidify the base but never was able to get beyond it. Maybe next time. And she will have a next time.

Actually foreign trade has nothing to do with it! During Ronald Reagan’s presidency the national debt actually went WAY up! I have the graphs to prove it if you would like.
Most of our debt is actually internal.(75%+) If you had taken a Macroeconomics class you would know that. The democrats do spend more but they tax more to even it out. The republicans preach about small government but never fulfill the promise! They give tax cuts and don’t reduce spending creating a deficit.
